As you can see in this picture, I own a lot of really cool mics! It has been amazing to be able to utilize these in many different contexts through the years and really learn what each of them can do. But one thing I always like to remember and go by is this… A good microphone on a bad source will never produce good results no matter how awesome the mic is. If you are an aspiring audio engineer like myself, always make sure to go above and beyond to listen to the source you are trying to record before even thinking about “putting it down on tape”. This is, what I would like to say, one of the greatest tools in my belt.
